OK, so the Chargers fans want to bash the Raiders. They want to talk about how great they are and how bad the Raiders are. Well, at the least the Raiders have won 3 superbowls. Since joining the NFL when the leagues merged in 1970, the Raiders have won twelve division titles, three Super Bowls (XI, XV, XVIII), and one other conference title (winning the AFC before losing in Super Bowl XXXVII). Thirteen former players have been enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And they have owned the chargers lately. We won both games last season. So..............what do you have to say Chargers fans? When are you going to win something. Or beat the Raiders?

The link to this site was posted on clipperstopbuzz. It is amazing how many LA fans of the Clippers hate the Raiders and are all about the Chargers. I can see Laker fans as the Chargers fit thier type of blow-hard team, but Clipper fans should embrace the Raiders as a down to earth blue collar team. They talk about what thugs Raider fans are. However, when I went to Qualcom to see a game, my wife was spit on and had stuff thrown at her, and of course I was hit in the head a million times "accidently" as the fans moved in the aisle. Not to mention the cretin sitting behind me (with his 9 years old boy) calling me and my team the f-bomb for 3 hours straight non-stop. But we are the thugs. Charger fans,,when you win something of importance you can talk,,for now sit down and shut up.

^^Definitely classes fans there Ron. A least the Silver & Black are moving in the right direction- I wouldn't be surprised if they finished higher in the standings than the Chargers this season!

^I have no doubt in my mind the Silver and Black will fare better then the Chargless this season. Then watch the bandwagon change.

I think that if they are going to try to compare themselves to such a great franchise as our Raiders, They'll need to win at least 1 Super Bowl.

Repped High Quality Post

Here's my deal.

I grew up a die-hard raider fan back in the early 90s. We had season tickets for a while up until they packed their bags and left. I remember numerous occasions where fights randomly broke out EVERY game at the coliseum. barf falling on the seat next to me. getting a beer shower every other game. heck, one day my pops wore a blue sweater with orange inlay (bronco colors) and was verbally assaulted with every insult possible in front of his son. football aside, raider fans tend to be classless for the sake of trying to live up to being classless (if that makes sense). now from a man's perspective, its hella corny to see grown men try to be "intimidating fans" as if its one giant gang of men trying to escape reality. i cant stand this.

when the raiders left LA, i was immediately bitter. i hated them with a passion because they walked out on me like a wife that leaves a husband for more money. al davis was even more of a creep (i remember meeting this cadaver at the HQ in el segundo. i asked him for an autograph and he told me to go wait outside in the hot sun and to not cross the painted line.).

i pushed that hate aside after a year or 2, but never really developed the same kind of die hard appreciation i had during their LA days. (i mean, i used to love the raiders with a passion). now, its been something like 17 years without LA football and find myself trying to root for silver and black, but its just so difficult.

im hoping LA gets an expansion team (which it probably wont), but if the chargers come to LA, id have no problem whatsoever rooting for them and buying season tickets. i just cant rekindle a passion for a team that gave me the boot and is now run like a state prison.

no offense to anyone.

Well, welcome to the Buzz anyway. As for me I hope the Rams come back to LA. As a football fan, I am not close to any stadium where I can see a game without driving a long way. So it is TV for me. I havve had tickets on the 50 yard line for Raiders games and also in the end zone away from the Black Hole. The fans there have been great. But I wouldn't ever wear an opposing teams jersey into that stadium. The Raider Nation is a little rowdy at times, but I hear that things are actually getting better. The fans who get to rowdy or get in fights are shown the door......forever.

99% of the fans at the stadium are ok. And I really meet a lot of great fans at the sports bars that I go to.
