The Raiders almost threw that game away. Between all of the penalties (some were very questionable), the fumble, the poor 2nd half playcalling and the blocked FG, I'm just happy that the Raiders survived and walked out with the W, keeping their AFCW lead.

I also hope that DHB is okay, we really need him. It looked like he had a severe concussion judging from that hit, I'll be very surprised to see him next week. With that said, I hope that Ford will be back, because I do not want to see Murphy get playing time, the dude's soft and a liability. I'd rather see Schillens or Housh get the start with Moore.

DHB was hit in the head the opposite way his body was traveling. He might just have a sore wrenched neck tomorrow morning, but otherwise might be OK.

We are at home against the red hot Chicago Bears. Our receiving core is hurting and RunDMC is still out. DHB and TJ will probably play. Ford and Moore are very questinable. Pray hard.

We CANNOT lose this game with them playing without their starting QB.

Man got a little scary there at the end but pulled it off. Janikowski- so reliable- 6 for 6 on the FG's. The defense was solid getting those picks- difference makers right there. Great win all around- 7 and 4 now!

God I am so glad Seabass found his leg again because if not for him,,either a 7-7 tie and into OT or who knows what.

That one 80 yard punt though,,I mean seriously Shane, can't you kick any harder???

Looks like the game's gonna be on TV!

Quote:
Sunday's game between the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders has been declared a sellout and will be on local television.

The Dolphins and Channel 4, Miami's CBS affiliate, have purchased unsold tickets to ensure the the game will be sold out prior to the NFL's mandated 72-hour time limit.

The NFL's blackout rule, established in 1973, requires games be sold out 72 hours in advance or they are blacked out on stations with signals reaching within 75 miles of the game. Teams are allowed to buy unsold non-premium seats for 34 cents on the dollar.

Kickoff is at 1 p.m. and will be televised on Channels 4 and 12 in South Florida.

This one will be interesting. Raiders on paper should paste these guys,,so will they overlook them and get "bush"whacked,,,get it,,Reggie Bush? Personally, as a USC football fan,,I hope our USC vet Palmer tears our other USC vet,,Bush,,a new one for what he (Reggie) has done to my school. Just Win Baby.

My thoughts exactly. I had to put Oakland as my favorite pick of the week in the football pool that I'm in.

Guess we were underdogs afterall. This could be the end of the run towards the playoffs for us. Not looking good with that **($))(*# Teblow seeming unstoppable and us having to go to Green Bay and also play Detroit. This will not be easy,,,,someone needs to hurt Teblow and hurt him soon. This team will have to basically win out,,,not easy to do.

On the plus side, that 2013 draft pick we were supposed to give away at this point appears to be ours.

How embarrassing. The game was won in the trenches for Miami. They're o-line and d-line dominated us from start to end. Also what really sucks is that we're tied for 1st in the AFCW with the Broncos while the Raiders next game is in GB. This is gonna get very interesting.

That was ugly- hopefully Denver struggles a bit and we can somehow pull off a miracle vs the Packers. I don't have high hopes, however. If we compete and keep it close I think it would great for the morale.

^^ It's going to be very very hard to stay competitive right now with all of the injuries on the team.

So far it looks like we're going to miss Johnson, Ford, Moore, McFadden, Jones, Henderson, and possibly Schilens.

Boss, Seymour, Kelly, Moss, and Scott all have had limited weeks in practice.

But never give up. GB is not going to go 16-0. With 4 left, someone is going to beat them. They will overlook us,,,,,we are not a threat. Perfect trap game to upset the giant.

That is what I will be telling myself tomorrow morning.

But,,we are going to get our asses handed to us...............

With every player healthy with a full week of practice we would have a shot, but with all these injuries to key players, just pray that Denver loses.

So my thoughts are:

we have to play 10 times better to just suck

could be the worst Raider defeat in history

we could be our own record in penalties today

Green Bay wins the Superbowl

We won't have to give up that draft choice for making the playoffs,,we won't be going

we may end up worse the last years 8-8

This looks like a pro team plying a high school team

I still hate fracking TeBlow

I've been using the word "embarrassing" a lot when I talk about the Raiders...I think I'm spot on with my choice of words. It's a damn good thing that the Broncos are down 10-0 in the 3rd. Come on Bears!

Picked a bad week to stop sniffing glue.................

I find it so amazing that the one challange we could have won we didn't get because "the replay equipment broke",,but then it was miraculously repaired when needed for GB

I also like the play where we scored a TD on that "tuck" but the ball was given back to GB. TO me that means the play was dead,,but yet we got a penalty for a clip (a call I haven't heard in years) on the play tha didn't count giving GB another first down Not that it matters.

I think Carson will be 2nd string next year. Although i am a diehard SC fan, although Carson was one of my favorites in the last 40 years,,he doesn't fit the rest of the offense on this team. We need a QB that can run.

I iknow I am whining,,but at least I can do this here without any backlash. I am sure we are all pissed.

While the Raiders seem to be able to catch a break. Tim Tebow is the luckiest man alive. The Bears are up 10 - 0 with 4 minutes to go. Then while they are just running out the clock, one of their guys steps out of bounds stopping the clock. Well, you all know the rest. Tebow wins in OT.

Very bad day- getting crushed by the Packers and now the Broncos just won in OT after 2 long-ass field goals. At least the guys came out to compete in the second half. Carson- some of the decision making was very poor. But at this point he's our only option and we can only hope he can cut down on the INTs for us to have a chance at the playoffs.

It's not luck,,you must not read newspapers or watch the news Everyone says the son of a preacher man is God's divine quarterback and we are seeing the miracles every Sunday as he pulls another miracle win out of his arse,,,,if I can say that.

You know what I say,,,,,&*ck Tim Teblow and Denver now, and forever.

Hope I can say these things here !

Well everyone,,everyone that is left that is,,today is the day. Does our season end or do we still have hope? IMHO, if we win today we are still in this,,but as much as it pains me to say this,,we need Tom Brady to step it up. THe Pats have to beat Denver and put Teblow out of our misery. As much as I dislike the Pats (it WAS a fumble) we have to hope they can stop the Teblow madness and we need to show Detorit they were a fluke.

Just Win Baby

We are at home against the Detroit Lions. Our receiving core is hurting and RunDMC is still out. We need a win and a Denver loss to get back into this thing. Is our defense finally going to step up? Can Palmer find his touch?

Looks like the game isn't gonna be televised today. And it sounds like McFadden is out of the rest of the season, I can't say that I'm surprised about that. Supposedly Moore is back in action this week too while Ford missed this week again.

I hate our defense. Hue and Bresnahan both need to go.

Also going for it on 4th down in the 1st quarter came back to haunt us. If they kick the FG, Raiders win this 30-28.

Losing like tht is totally unacceptable,,you don't blow 13 point leads with only a couple of minutes left andyou sure don't give up a TD when a team has to go 99 yards in a fracking minute or whatever it was

Just a wasted opportunity today. Wasted a great game by Carson, a loss by the Broncos- a 13 point lead in the second half.... The secondary- man that was just anti-clutch, a choke job.

We are on the road in Kansas City and the Broncos are on the road in Buffalo. We need to win the last two which would include San Diego next week. We need the Broncos to lose today in order for us to have a chance to win the division. We will be without Darren McFadden and Jacoby Ford, so lets hope the defense steps up this week.

So far ,,ridiculous. This team plays as though they just got our of training camp. At least we won't have playoff pressure and may shatter the penalty record. We'r e number 1!

WOW what a freakin' miracle today. Seymour with 2 FG blocks and Sebass with the game winning FG.

What a sloppy game though with penalties and Carson Palmer gave me a heart attack with his stupid interceptions. But just like that he comes up clutch in the end hitting DHB in OT to set up Janikowski. I'm really mixed on Palmer right now. One day he looks like a top 10 QB and the next he looks like hammered dog shit. There has to be some consistency.

Our defense definitely showed up to play today. For some reason the Raiders D always gives Orton fits. They really made him struggle in the redzone today too.

Also...5-0 in the last 5 games in KC Mr. Green

With the Broncos losing, I do believe that puts the Raiders in 1st place. I think they might hold the tie breaker over Denver. Regardless, next week in Oakland is a must win against the Chargers. Should be an interesting Week 17 in the AFCW.

To many penalties.....but this is winning ugly. Buffalo is trouncing Denver so we are again tied for 1st place and we are back in the hunt.

So next week, if we win and Denver loses, we win the division out right. But if both teams win, they would have the same record in the division wouldn't they? Then what?

FightOnRon

It does put the Raiders in first but I am not clear how. Or records are even,,our division records are the same, Denver beat us, but we are in first. Since I have CRS,,,did we beat them once too? If we did it would make more sense.

MRMOJO,,I love your enthusiasm but I do not share it. Not your enthusiasm for our team,,but for the way they played today.

Our defense was way too porous for my liking most of the game, Carson was sloppy (but he showed that arm still has some distance for someone with a hurt elbow and I hate to criticize my favorite SC QB to this date,,,,,Barkely is coming on strong) but the real headache were those penalties. 2/3s of them were all complete lack of displine and just not acceptable. Go to the playoffs with play like todays and we are toast. I will give props to the defense in the red zone,,they nutted up for that. And Seymor was pretty much a game changer. Bush is a puzzlement to me. Seems like 3/4 of the time he gets nothing but when he does he mows them down. we need a lot more work.

Just blow the Chargers away next week and I will be a happy guy.

Yeah, the Raiders beat Denver in Week 1. So we're both 3-2 in the AFCW. We are 1-1 against KC and DEN, with the opportunity to sweep the Chargers next week.

Well I do only like to speak mostly about the good things that happened today, but the defense really bailed this team out today. The offense couldn't move the ball at all and wasted so many opportunities that the defense gave them, including the 2 redzone picks. For as many 3 and outs that the offense had, the D did quite well against KC's offense only holding them to 13.

I have very mixed emotions as to whether or not I want to see this team in the playoffs. If they make the playoffs then that means Hue and Bresnahan's jobs are saved. I feel that they both need to go. I really do question Jackson's knowledge of the NFL rulebook after today after a couple of those illegal formation penalties. His playcalling ability is trash too, I think they should just give the offensive playcalling duties to Al Saunders. I liked Hue a lot better when he was on Al Davis' short leash. Now he's free to roam the yard and does what he wants. I don't like it.

Carson Palmer frustrates me so much as well. He looked so good against Detroit last week and then comes right back and looked very mediocre today. I really do wish that we can hold on to Jason Campbell and have them duel for the QB spot. Then again, Palmer STILL doesn't know the full Raider playbook, so maybe if he has a full offseason with this team he will do much better. I can only hope.

I guess my enthusiasm comes from the fact that this team didn't quit like past Raiders squads would have. If this were 2 or 3 yrs ago they would have stopped playing after that delay of game penalty/short FG in the 2nd quarter. This team definitely doesn't quit. You also can't really blame the team for being as undisciplined as they are, it all starts with the coaching staff. The team reflects who their coach is.

I agree on Carson. As I have said before , as an SC fan for about a year longer then the Raiders (and we are talking since 1968), Carson was one of my ,,well my favorite QB in all that time,,,altough Barkley now is taking that spot. So I really want him to do well and I really want him to lead us to a championship but I jsut don't know. Today he could have gotten out of at least 2 jams if he had legs left and he doesn't. Interceptions when he should have just gone down. I do think he and Jason should compete next year.

I don't like the play calling on offense or defense,,but overall I like Hue. Replacing either the offensive or defenseive coach would not ruin my day.

I concur about not giving up. Maybe with AL looking on from beyond they feel less pressure for some bizarre reason so they keep playing.

I am with you about the playoffs too. Yeah it would be cool (I still have a Superbowl 18 bumper sticker I didn't put on my car) ,,but how cool would it be to get trounced out in round one? Is this the playoffs we have to make to give up our draft choice or is it next year? Because if it is this year that may or may not happen.

ALl I know is I live and die with this team and right now they are giving me hope and killing me at the same time.

^^Hahah- Hue looked like he was enjoying himself there!

This was a crazy game- looked like the same old story again w/ the opposing team scoring a TD late in the game, but thankfully we prevailed in OT. I have a feeling that KC will beat the Broncos- Kyle Orton will have his revenge. But that does us no good if we can't beat the Chargers. So do or die time, baby!

First of all sorry for the site being down guys- the hard drive on the server went bad and it took forever to get re-setup the web server and recover the data.

Well we held destiny in our own hands but our old nemesis the Chargers played spoilers. We just couldn't get enough pressure on Philip Rivers to make him feel uncomfortable. The Chargers never punted, once- it's extremely difficult to win a game when you can't make your opponents punt. Carson had a pretty nice game, but the defense let the team down again.

Well I'm glad the site's back up and running again! I was wondering what happened.

Today's loss was on the defense and the coaching staff. Say goodbye to Bres. DHB had a career game today with 130 yards receiving and was really the only player that truly amazed me today. The guy has tons of potential and could become something very big in the future. Also looking at the stat sheet, I saw that Palmer had thrown for over 400 yards and Moore had 101 yards receiving as well. Palmer played great today minus that 1 pick and dumb pass that ran out the clock at the end of the half.

I can't wait for Mark Davis to clean some house, fire Hue and Bres, and bring in a GM. It's going to be a very interesting offseason to say the least. I think we will see the Raiders pick up a new D-coordinator and switch to the 3-4 at the very least. It would be icing on the cake for me to see Hue get the axe.

Oh yeah, and congrats to the 2011 Raiders for breaking the penalty record today Rolling Eyes

I saw the Coach Hue press conference after the game and he was pissed at......everybody. Sounds like he wants to "hands on" every decision during the offseason. He called out everybody including the front office. I think there is going to be a battle going on over who makes the calls on players. If this battle results in a better defense than I am on board. We had a better defense a couple of years ago. I guess letting Asomugha go didn't help.
