With talk that the Oakland Raiders might place their franchise tag on running back Michael Bush, the Contra Costa Times (Calif.) suggests that backfield mate Darren McFadden (pictured) could be trade bait in the offseason.
McFadden still has two years left on his rookie contract, but he's missed games in all four of his NFL seasons due to injuries. In fact, he hasn't played in more than 13 games in one season. He missed the final nine games this season with a foot injury, finishing with 614 rushing yards, 154 receiving yards and five total touchdowns.
Bush had the best season of his pro career, rushing for 977 yards and seven touchdowns. Not bad for a guy who didn't get more than 10 carries in a game until Week 7. He also caught 37 passes for 418 yards and another TD.
McFadden's fantasy stock will obviously take a hit in 2012, especially if the Raiders keep him and place the franchise tag on Bush.
Well there is no doubt he is a very talented running back,,but very injury prone. YOu have to build your offense around soemone or something you can rely upon. When that person goes down,,you end up 8-8.
