Great news- Darrius Hayward-Bey has been released from the hospital. He did suffer a concussion and has a neck strain. I'm pretty sure he will not be able to go vs the Broncos, but with a bye week after that, he should be ready vs the Falcons in October.

21000 dollar fine for hit,,I disagree with new coach,,i am still pissed about the hit and this SH$$head concussed two guys,,how can Allen not be pissed

Pittsburgh safety Ryan Mundy was fined $21,000 for a brutal hit on Oakland receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey on Sunday.

Heyward-Bey spent the night in a hospital with neck and concussion issues. He was released the next day and he is expected to fully recover. There is no word when he will be able to play. There was not a flag called on the play, and Coach Dennis Allen said he really didn’t have a problem with the hit or the lack of a penalty.

Mundy also knocked out Raiders tight end Brandon Myers later in the game with a concussion. Myers was back at practice Wednesday.
